Description:The patient had developed the habit of pulling the skin of the orbit to close the eye, so as to protect it from exposure, and thus produced a pronounced loose fold of skin. It is due to recurrent or chronic odema of the lids leading to stretching of the skin followed by atrophy and relaxation of the skin, this loose skin when the oedema disappears hangs down in front of the upper lid marginal. The mean follow-up was 48 months range, months. Patients with self-induced nasal ulceration can be broadly classified into 2 groups: The characteristic crescent-shaped lateral nasal ala ulceration is associated with trigeminal nerve anesthesia and facial paresthesia.
